Physician Bio

We are pleased to introduce Giovanni Crosland, DO, hospitalist and internal medicine specialist.

Dr. Crosland coordinates the care of hospitalized patients. He’s like an orchestra conductor, taking responsibility for his patients by weaving together an integrated medical plan, advocating for them, and translating to them what their medical ailments are. On a daily basis, he sees a little bit of everything, from heart disease, lung disease, malignancies, and infections to helping manage a patient’s medical issues with surgeons.

His joy of medicine comes from improving the lives of those you care for. One of his favorite quotes comes from President Theodore Roosevelt: “People do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

He was born and raised in southeast Idaho, having grown up in a farming community just outside of Preston, ID. With an inherent desire to help and serve others, he developed a love for medicine during his senior year of high school when he was allowed to assist in his brother’s appendectomy. When Dr. Crosland is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with Kristina, his wife and high school sweetheart, and their six amazing children—three boys and three girls. They love spending time together playing board games, camping, fishing, hiking, and backpacking.
