Chyna B. Hopkins, LMSW

Speciality: Mental Health & Counseling Services

Physician Bio

We are pleased to introduce Chyna Hopkins, licensed master social worker.

She has a background in helping individuals and couples, with additional experience in family counseling. She has helped clients of all ages struggling with a range of issues including everyday life changes, boundary setting, emotional intelligence, grief, depression, anxiety, anger, substance abuse, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).Within the trauma spectrum, specific areas she has helped clients with include domestic violence, divorce, sexual assault, and abuse.

When meeting with others, Chyna takes a strengths-based approach and seeks to empower clients as they work towards accomplishing therapeutic goals that are individualized to their own tailored treatment plans, and focusing on the biopsychosocial aspects of the individual. She views the healing process as a collaborative endeavor that is dependent upon honest caring with absence of judgement. She is excited to learn from each interaction she has with clients and sees treatment as an opportunity for mutual growth.

Treatment modalities that she has been trained in and uses the most in counseling include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, growth mindset, dialectic behavioral therapy, and emotion focused therapy.

She was born and raised in Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School. When Chyna is not helping others she enjoys going out and trying new things with her husband and two children, public speaking, learning anything new, fishing, weight lifting, running, and cluelessly wrenching on anything with a motor.
