Microneedling With PRP

About Bingham Memorial Microneedling with PRP

MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP IS THE NEXT BIG TREND IN SKIN CARE!

The skincare specialists at Bingham Memorial Dermatology Center are pleased to offer this state-of-the-art procedure.

Microneedling with PRP combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) (concentrated platelets and white blood cells) derived from your own blood. The platelets contain key growth factors that play a significant role in tissue healing and regeneration.

PRP is applied to your face and then the mirconeedling begins. This involves using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of skin. It stimulates your body’s natural wound healing process, resulting in cell turnover at an accelerated rate, and increased collagen and elastin production, reversing as well as preventing the signs of aging.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Myth: Microneedling hurts.

False: It may be uncomfortable, but treatments done in-office are with topical anesthesia depending on the depth of the procedure being performed.

Myth: I can do this treatment at home. I don’t need to go to a skincare specialist.

False: When microneedling is done at your provider’s office, you will get the state-of-the-art new radiofrequency microneedling or microneedling pens. Doctors always have access to stronger medical grade versions that aren’t approved for home use. At home, you can only get microneedle rollers.

Myth: Microneedling can be done around the eyes or lips.

True: Thanks to advancements in both science and skin care, microneedling can safely be done in these areas as long as the right device is used.

Myth: Microneedling only helps people to look younger.

False: Yes, it creates smoother skin, but the treatment is also effective in correcting acne marks. The microneedles stimulate collagen production to help with scarring.
