Microneedling in Eastern Idaho!

Are you unhappy with acne scars, crow’s feet, deep forehead wrinkles, fine lines, mild sagging skin, pore size, stretch marks, or an uneven skin tone?

Mirconeedling is a hot, new trend sweeping the skincare world by storm. This minimally invasive procedure stimulates your body’s own natural healing process, which increases collagen and elastin production, thereby reversing signs of aging and correcting scarring.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of skin. It stimulates your body’s natural wound healing process, resulting in cell turnover at an accelerated rate, and increased collagen and elastin production, reversing as well as preventing the signs of aging.

A 2015 study published in the International Journal of Dermatology reported that microneedling is the newest way to achieve “skin rejuvenation, tightening, and scar removal.” The treatment works in the same way lasers do; only the skin is injured mechanically instead of using heat or light. It’s a minimally invasive treatment that is virtually painless, and incredibly effective.

The procedure reduces fine lines and deep wrinkles. It stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin, which is the key to new, youthful-looking skin. Proponents say this method is one of the most powerful ways to stop aging in its tracks and prevent fine lines, crow’s feet, and deep wrinkles on the forehead.

It repairs, diminishes, and, in some cases, eradicates visible scars. In a study on the effects of the treatment, nearly 100 percent of acne-scarred participants reported a marked improvement in the visibility of their acne scars. And even for severe acne scarring, microneedling is twice as effective as other treatments.

For those of you who have loved the sun a little too much in the past, microneedling is a promising treatment to reverse sun damage and pigmentation. It’s a powerful treatment for the blotchy, brownish facial pigmentation that can appear on the skin. Collagen is the most vital way to improve the look of the skin, going way beyond reducing wrinkles. By stimulating collagen growth, you can reverse sun damage and discoloration including hyperpigmentation that comes with melasma. It also helps add a glow to your skin.

The treatment is also impressive in its ability to tighten loose skin attributed to aging, and offer a simple and effective treatment with minimal side effects and downtime.

One misconception about microneedling is that it can enlarge pores, as you might imagine as the piercing of your skin hundreds of times might suggest. Rather, one of the significant benefits of the procedure is that it helps pores appear much smaller as it stimulates collagen in and around your pores, causing them to plump up and your pores to look shrunken.

The tiny punctures in your skin now act like little channels, allowing the expensive topical products you use to penetrate your skin in a way that clogged pores can’t–improving the product absorption tremendously. This is especially important when you are using prescribed (or doctor recommended) facial treatments.

And the remarkable benefits of microneedling extend to more than just your face. Any part of your body is responsive to the effects of the treatment.
